When adding a new location, either directly from the Site Management screen (see here), or while adding a location to a Tour (see here), the following procedure is followed to enter all the details of the location.
When the new Location details screen appears it shows the basic information as below:
Enter a Name to uniquely describe the location on this Site.
Enter Instructions to assist with finding this Location, specifically the identifying confirmation device, when performing a Tour.
When a location is visited the user confirms this using one of 3 available methods. If more than one option is selected then either can be used to confirm the location has been visited.
GPS
If an external location is to be confirmed by GPS, tick the Use Coordinates option and the screen will expand with the coordinate details.
Enter the Latitude and Longitude of the location. If you are working on a GPS enabled device such as a tablet and are at the location you can use the
button to record the current location as recorded by the GPS of the device.
If no GPS locator system is available this can be obtained from Google Maps. For more tips on how to obtain GPS coordinates see tool tips.
Enter a proximity in feet to define how close the user needs to be to the stored coordinates to confirm the location. When deciding on this figure please be aware of the accuracy of GPS of both the device in use and the GPS in the vicinity of the location.
Barcodes
If a location has a barcode allocated to it, tick the Use Barcode option and the screen will expand with the barcode details.
Enter the barcode (ensuring you include any hidden characters).
If you are on a device with a barcode scanner then you can use the 
option to scan the barcode directly in to the text box.

NFC
If a location has an NFC tag allocated to it, tick the Use NFC option and the screen will expand with the NFC details.
Enter the NFC Serial number.

When all possible forms of confirmation have been entered select 
to save the location details.
