Documents are added from the Site page.
To add a new Document select the Documents icon on the Main Site Page.
The Documents screen will be displayed.
To add a new Document select
The Create Document screen will be displayed.
Give the Document a name, which will be listed on the mobile device as the identifier.
Select the appropriate Class, Group and Category. If an appropriate Class, Group or Category does not exist, press the + button to add a new Class, Group or Category.
If the Document contains sensitive information it can be marked as Secure. In this situation the user will be asked to enter their password before the contents of the Document are displayed.
If you wish to track who has read the Document then it can be marked as Required. In this situation after reading the user is asked to Sign to indicate they have read the Document. You can then track who has, and who has not, read the Document.
So the system knows who to make this Document available to a Distribution List can be added. This is required to track signatures, but if no list is created then the Document will be available to all authenticated users on the Site.
When all the details have been entered press Save.
The Document details page is displayed.
At this point the Document is just a 'place holder' without any actual content. This is now added in the middle section - File.
The File is the actual Document that is to be displayed. This can either be an existing file, for example a Word document or PDF or an Excel spreadsheet. Also it could be an image file. At this time we cannot accept video files.
Alternatively a file can be created inline using the on screen text editor. This method is useful for creating smaller informational documents.
To add an existing file, select
the Upload file screen will appear. Choose the file from your local computer and select Upload.
To Create an inline document, select
the on screen editor will appear. Create your document by typing directly in to the editor then select Save.
Once the file has been uploaded or created it will appear in the File section. Note each Document relates to a single File so you cannot upload multiple Files in to a Document.
The Document is now ready to be Distributed. This is the process that presents the Document to the members of the Distribution List. To do this select
